Kings Of Leon have announced the first leg of their North American tour in support of the band’s recently released sixth album, Mechanical Bull. The quartet will kick off the trek on February 5th, 2014 in Atlanta, with dates booked so far through a Chicago gig on March 8th. More shows will be announced soon. Tickets for the general public go on sale starting Friday, November 1st via Live Nation, with certain credit card holders getting an opportunity to purchase tickets earlier.
- Mechanical Bull debuted at Number Two on the Billboard album chart earlier this month, selling 110,000 copies in its first week of release.
- It was the band’s third Top 10 debut, following 2010’s Come Around Sundown and 2008’s Only By The Night. The former sold 184,000 copies to reach Number Two while the latter entered the chart at Number Five with 74,000 copies sold.
