Here we are in section C of my vinyl collection where we find a record from Cage of the Elephant. Their self-titled debut album came out in the UK in 2008 and then in North America in the spring of 2009. By this time, something was starting to stir when it came to the resurrection of vinyl.
Their label, Red Ink, had a feeling that some fans might appreciate it if they could buy an old-fashioned record, so they issued the LP—and it’s been in print ever since. You can pick up a brand new copy for between twenty and twenty-five dollars—which is way more than the CD and more than double the digital download, but what are you gonna do?
