Once again, we are in section K of this perpetual spin through my vinyl collection. When Keane came along in the early 2000s, it was common wisdom that vinyl was completely dead. The only vinyl records that came across my desk during that era were of the promotional variety: copies released in very limited quantities and were, let’s face it, issued as novelties for members of the music industry.
It’s hard to believe that this Keane vinyl now trades among collectors at prices starting at $150. If you have any promo albums from that time, you might want to take a look for them. From 2004, this is Keane and “Somewhere Only We Know.”
