Franz Ferdinand singer Alex Kapranos is quite a foodie. In fact, he has a book called Sound Bites: Eating on Tour with Franz Ferdinand. This grew out of a column that Alex was asked to write about food for the Guardian newspaper. Alex told me that before this, he knew nothing about food but was keen for the challenge.
Some of the things these guys ate while they toured the world may make you feel a little queasy. I mean, how hungry do you have to be to eat Argentine bulls’ testicles? According to Alex, they were truly awful. But it gets better. Alex and drummer Paul Thomson have also indulged in a food fest involving eating sheep anuses. You heard me. Now THAT’S foodism. I think.
