Actually, we’re pretty sure they’d be best friends. After a bizarre break-up with Blink 182, people started to call Tom DeLonge “crazy” after his many proclamations that he’s been abducted by aliens and has had his phones tapped by G-Men because of it.
While everyone else in the world seems to think DeLonge lost his marbles, he might find an understanding friend in James Black of Finger Eleven. Not only does he have an entire site dedicated to UFO culture, he’s written a solo record with overt themes of outer space.
For Black, it all started with Star Wars (didn’t everything?). Something resonated and the search began. Black, spoken like a true rationalist, says, “I find a lot of humour in the fact that there are 8 billion people walking around the planet thinking they are the most important thing in the universe when we are actually more like dust in the bigger scheme of things.”
Check out James Black’s brand new video for “Color Blind” below or see him live as he opens for I Mother Earth on May 2nd at the Phoenix.
Finger 182, anyone?
