NASA chief scientist Ellen Stofan says they’re really close to finding alien life. She’s predicting they’ll find clear signs in 10 years, and definite evidence in 20-30 years.
So it’s no longer an “if” they’ll find them – they’re sure it’s out there. It’s a matter of “when” they’ll find them.
More on what Stofan had to say about it:
“We know where to look. We know how to look. In most cases we have the technology, and we’re on a path to implementing it. And so I think we’re definitely on the road”
“When we do find evidence of life, however, it’s likely it won’t be signs of alien civilization but rather something much, much smaller. […] We are not talking about little green men. We are talking about little microbes.”
Aw, I was imaging them to ideally be cute, beanie-baby like creatures that we’d eventually have as pets.
What do you think of this? Spooky? Exciting?
