Mumford & Sons have expanded their North American live schedule beyond the Gentlemen Of The Road Stopover shows already previously announced. The British band will now launch its tour on June 2nd in Brooklyn, New York, mixing headlining dates with the Stopover shows and appearances at the Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and Squamish festivals.
The shows come in support of Mumford & Sons’ upcoming third album, Wilder Mind, which is out May 4th. “Believe,” the first single from the disc, has already hit Number One at Modern Rock Radio.
The band performed “Believe” and another new song called “The Wolf” on Saturday Night Live this past weekend (April 11th).
As widely reported, Wilder Mind mostly discards the band’s signature banjo and kick drum sound in favor of powerful rock guitars and thundering rhythms.
Wilder Mind follows the 2012 release of Mumford & Sons’ sophomore album, 2012’s Grammy-winning Babel, as well as their 2009 debut album, Sigh No More.
