I remember exactly what I was doing when I heard this song for the first time. I was in Los Angeles killing time before an interview with Trent Reznor. I decided to go for a jog from Sunset Boulevard up into the Hollywood Hills above the House of Blues. This seemed like a good time to get caught up on some listening so I loaded up a new album from this New York outfit of which I’d never heard before. This song was track one on the record. I will forever associate it with the houses I ran past high above Hollywood—places owned by people who probably had enough money to hire Daft Punk to play at their house.
