The ever constant battle between cyclists and drivers on the streets of Toronto is escalating. The back and forth of cyclists hating drivers and vice versa is deeply rooted in transportation history. Now, cyclists are wanting to be able to roll through stop signs and advance through red lights if it’s clear. This isn’t a horrible idea but if cars aren’t allowed to do it then cyclists shouldn’t be allowed. If the road is going to be shared then everyone on it should be bound by the same rules. None of this “we want our own specific rules because we’re special”. No! if you want to ride on the street which was made for cars, then follow the rules of the road!
