There’s a certain type of music collector that some people called “cratediggers.” They’re the people who can be found patiently going through used record stores and attending record shows looking for those uber-rare, super-obscure, out-of-print Holy Grail collectibles. In the old days, they’d keep their treasures to themselves. I mean, how could you share a single copy of a super-rare record?
Today, things are different. Some of these collectors are now posting these entire records on their blogs for everyone to hear. Technically, of course, this is illegal. After all, we’re dealing with copyrighted material. However, these digital cratediggers have a different moral take on what they do. More next time.
