Apparently Toronto loves its mac and cheese. The festival for the popular comfort food took place this weekend and organizers say they were completely unprepared for the volume of people. The event took place in Liberty Village and was simply overwhelmed. Residents complained about the trash everywhere, wait lines were over an hour and vendors ran out of food with many people not being able to use their purchased tickets. This caused a lot of the patrons to become quite cheesed with the festival (dad joke for the win).
