There was a time when every group sounded like Depeche Mode. Camouflage is part of this herd. They’re from southern Germany and have been a going concern since 1983. “The Great Commandment,” first demoed in about 1985, was the song that got them signed to their first proper record deal. A re-recording of the song in 1987 became a sizeable hit not only in the alt-rock world but on the dance charts where it sat at #1 for three weeks. Since that album—Voices & Images—there has been seven more Camouflage records including a 2015 release entitled Greyscale.
