Toronto will be playing host to the Pan Am Games next month which has created an epidemic in terms of traffic. The city is panicking about what to do with the increased congestion coming to the city over the next few weeks. The big solution is temporary HOV lanes. Unfortunately, there’s just one problem the lanes were a little too temporary. In an attempt to create lanes that could be easily removed someone had a brilliant idea to use adhesive tape opposed to painting the diamonds on the lane. As a result, the tape is peeling off leaving very little to distinguish them as HOV lanes. Somehow all this tape still managed to cost almost $3 million in contracting deals. Happy commuting!
