There is absolutely no reason why one should not buy vintage clothes. There’s something special about buying things that nobody would have. I guess it makes people feel special in a way. A good majority of the vintage stores out there are SUPER cheap. I’m all about saving money. It is definitely the kind of shopping you can do without feeling too guilty. Of course, if buying clothes from malls is what you’re into, by all means, you do you.
Here are some of the best places to get vintage/second hand clothing in Toronto.
What can’t you find there. There even a barber shop and a small record shop. There’s all kinds of things that you won’t find anywhere else. (Much like most places) They know what’s up. There’s probably something for everyone, if you look really, really carefully. Their store isn’t just a small plot with a few racks, nooo, this store is colossal. The whole store has a kind of punk and grunge look to it. Can I say that I was one of the most hardest place to find things but its worth a look. This is especially amazing since is probably the cheapest of all the stores. Also, they have an impressive collection of studded cuffs.
There are about a thousand of these stores around town. Most likely (if you live in Downtown T.O) you probably live near one. Even if you don’t, you should go check one out. There is one on Queens that has a bunny, so you should try out that location. Whats better than recycling clothes? Maybe bunnies…but you could donate and buy from that store to save material and money, which is awesome too.
There’s way too much going on there, it’s quite overwhelming. They have many obscure pieces in clothing, accessories and even furniture. Triple the awesome buys, my friends.
This place has covered all the fashion through all the decades. If you want to find anything from the 50’s, this is your place. Also, if you are interested in buying a sparkly bustier, flapper dress or just casual clothes, they probably have what you need.
