Dance punk purveyors Death From Above 1979 have been forced to cancel a handful of U.S. tour dates due to “immigration / visa issues,” the band reports.
The Canadian rockers were planning to appear at Jack White’s own Third Man Records in Nashville for a live album recording session on July 16. Death From Above 1979 will also miss shows in Norfolk, Richmond and DC, though they said that other shows in support of their first album in 10 years, The Physical World, later in July and August are still on.
The show at Third Man will be rescheduled, according to reports. Ticket holders of canceled shows can either hold onto stubs until they’re rescheduled or request a refund.
To make up for the cancellation, the band shared an acoustic version of their recent single, “Virgins.”
