Have you been to any shows this summer? If so, I’m going to bet this is going to sound familiar. According to a survey of Canadian music fans, 45% of us share photos we take at a live gig on social media. About 36% of us post about the concert on Facebook or Twitter. Some 28% text friends while we’re at the show. Before we leave home, 22% of us update our social media status to let everyone know where we’re going to be. About 19% take video that we then share on social media. (The number of people who take video and never do anything with it is much, much higher—but that’s another story. And you should just stop doing that. Enjoy the show for God’s sake.) And finally, 17% buy some kind of merch at a gig. Like I said, does any of this sound like you?
