There’s nothing quite like spending the night in by curling up on the couch to watch the latest episode of (Insert Your Favourite TV Show Here). With so many incredible TV shows to come out over the past few decades, and constant reboots of both television and film classics it begs the question “What TV show would you like to see a reboot of?”
Frankie Muniz recently tweeted his interest in doing a ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ sequel series, labeling it ‘Malcolm in the Mid-Life Crisis’. I’m not entirely sure how that would turn out, however, here’s a list of TV shows that if produced properly could make some incredible Netflix binge sessions.
How fun would "Malcolm In The Mid-life Crisis" be? I wonder what Malcolm and his family would be up to now!— Frankie Muniz (@frankiemuniz) September 7, 2015
Could you imagine what a big budget could do with this series? It could be like Masters of Horror only with less gore and more mystery! Perhaps get a different writer for each episode!
This show was cancelled before finishing its first season and only. In case you’ve never heard of the show, here’s a summary from IMDB “Five hundred years in the future, a renegade crew aboard a small spacecraft tries to survive as they travel the unknown parts of the galaxy and evade warring factions as well as authority agents out to get them.” Believe me, it was awesome.. Oh and so is the intro music for each episode.
Similar to The Twilight Zone in format only with a science fiction theme, because we all need more sci-fi in our lives.
This show had a $9 million budget PER EPISODE.. That’s $3 million more than Game of Thrones! It’s incredibly high cost was it’s inevitable downfall, but if we could see those production costs in action once again, it’d be glorious. Please HBO.. Please!
I understand it wouldn’t make sense to have the original cast of this series reunite to make a sequel as it takes place in high school, however if Judd Apatow wrote a few more seasons (or perhaps pitched ones that were already written) it’d be pretty cool to see unfold. Here’s the pilot episode!
