Halloween is already around the corner! With only half of October left, there are numerous Halloween-themed events going on around Toronto.
Toronto After Dark Film Festival hosts 9 nights of horror, sci-fi, action, & cult movies. The festival begins on October 15th and runs until the 23rd. Check out films like ‘The Hallow’, ‘A Christmas Horror Story’, and ‘Night of the Living Deb’! Tickets are $13 per film, however special passes are also offered for those who are planning to see more than one movie. More information can be found here.
Scared of being alone this Halloween? Perhaps you should try your luck at Halloween Speed Dating! Come dressed in a costume on October 31st for drinks, 25 mini-dates, hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment, and a chance to win prizes. Tickets are $50.
How about a spooky scavenger hunt? Urban Capers is hosting a scavenger hunt across Toronto that will visit a mass graveyard in Yorkville, an insane asylum, and much more! Two teams of six will compete to uncover answers of Toronto’s haunted past. The event runs multiple nights including October 16th, 23rd, 24th, 30th, and 31st. Tickets are $29.99.
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra will play the soundtrack alongside Hitchcock’s classic horror film ‘Psycho‘. Tickets range from $35-$105 at Roy Thompson Hall. For more details on the concert click here.
Let’s do the time warp again! The Bloor Cinema will be screening the Rocky Horror Picture Show on October 30th and 31st at 7:00PM and 10:30PM. Tickets are $16 for this cult classic. More information here.
