There’s never been a time where I’ve accepted an invitation to play Farmville on Facebook. And quite frankly, I don’t think I’ll ever accept any of these obnoxious requests to play silly micro transaction games on Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg recently addressed the pandemic of Facebook game invites in a lecture when someone asked him “I don’t want any more invitations to Candy Crush. How can I stop it?” at the Indian Institute for Technology.
This is what he replied with:
“This is where these Town Hall Q&As are really useful because I actually saw this question, that it was the top voted question on my thread, So I sent a message to the person who runs the team in charge of our developer platform and I said by the time I do this Town Hall Q&A, I think it would be good if we had a solution to this problem.”
I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. I spend a lot of time on Facebook and would rather not have my social experience disrupted by Candy Crush Saga. This video with Mark contains all the latest in upcoming Facebook changes.
