Everyday we hear about a new study that tells us a new way to live our lives. Recently a study carried out by the Happiness Research Institute in Denmark involved a sample of 1,095 participants who were divided into two groups, one who continued to use Facebook, while the other stopped. Their results?
“Facebook users are 39 percent more likely to feel less happy than non-users.”
They also found that non-users experienced an increase in social interaction and satisfaction with their social life. I’m amazed we needed a study to conclude that one..
Regardless, I think its best to take a study such as this one with a grain of salt. However, it is interesting to think about. I guess I’m stuck feeling less happy since using Facebook is part of my job.
