Alright, lets do this.. we’re going to look back on some of my favourite albums of 2015. The criteria is this.. the record had to come out in 2015 and I had to love it.. that’s it..
Day 7 – Record 7
MUMFORD AND SONS – WILDER MIND
Mumford and Songs burst on the scene a few years back and have been hard to ignore. They ushered in this new wave of mainstream folk rock that cant be described any way other than- infectious. It’ll get you moving, and Wilder Mind doesnt break that mold even if the banjos have been replaced with electric guitars.
The band set up shop in Brooklyn, New York and churned out maybe their best album to date. The progression from records 1 & 2 into record 3 was a natural one. People were worried when they heard Marcus and the boys would be taking things in a new sonic direction but it was a calculated risk that very much paid off for them.
I got a chance to chat with the guys around Easter of 2015..
And they didn’t hate me afterwards..
What a group of good looking men..
Top 6 starts Tomorrow!!
