As part of the next round of the Edge Jingle Bell concert series, Canada’s own Bear Mountain came crashing into a very packed Adelaide Hall, performing for fans who have clearly been following this band-on-the-rise since the beginning.
Hitting the music scene a mere three years ago, it is evident that Bear Mountain is a band that everyone should begin to keep an eye on. Making headway through the festival scene including Canada’s newest alternative festival, WayHome Music & Arts this past summer, Bear Mountain have been leaving their mark on fans who are now continuously coming back for more.
This past Thursday night was truly a treat for those in attendance at Adelaide Hall. Bear Mountain is a band that has mixed various styles of music together into one. Whether it is hearing both beats of an electronic mix, and indie-vocals in one song, or sticking to one style throughout a single song—it was inspiring to see such a complex mix of sounds put together.
There wasn’t a still body in the room as fans jumped and danced around, feeling whichever beat the band chose to put on stage in that moment. To say the least, it was a great experience seeing a new band flip back-and-forth between sounds, pulling off every single one.
After leaving their mark on Toronto fans still buzzing from the summer performance at WayHome—which seemed to be the talk of the room, it is clear that Bear Mountain is one that we will be hearing about loud and proud from here on out.
