The Consumer Electronics Shows (CES) just happened and a lot of amazing things took place. If you missed it, here is a low down of what was announced at CES 2016.
Fitbit is coming out with a smart watch
Fitbits have been gaining in popularity over the past couple months. With this, the company has decided to take the technology one step further by creating a smart watch. Called the Fitbit Blaze, the watch comes with different band options, a touch screen, simple software and the same fitness tracking abilities as the Fitbit Surge.
Many manufacturers, such as LG, Samsung and Sony have announced that they will be creating 4k televisions. What this means is more pixels, better colours and a higher quality television watching experience.
New ways to get around
Hover boards are a new trend and you can see people riding them down the street or in your local shopping mall. Swagway announced a new hover board called the Swagtron which in a safer version of their hover board. This model can also be connected to an app that can help track battery life.
So. Many. Robots.
The fact that robots are now easily accessible is awesome. The Cerevo Tipron is a robot with a built in projector you control with your phone, while Parot’s has created a new drone that can fly up to 50 mph.
Roll up displays
LG announced that they are working on a rollable screen. The prototype is 18 inches and is less than a millimeter thick. The plan is to convert this technology to create TVs that you can roll up and take with you on the go.
