Scott Weiland, one of the greatest rock singers produced in the 90s, died on December 3. His funeral was at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, a place where you’ll find memorials of plenty of celebrities. It’s the final resting place of Fay Wray from King Kong, Mel Blanc, the voice of all those Looney Tunes cartoons and Toto from The Wizard of Oz.
There’s also a big memorial to Johnny Ramone who died of prostate cancer in 2002. It’s a fantastically large statue of him in a leather jacket playing a guitar Ramones-style. His ashes aren’t there yet, but they’re coming. His widow, Linda, says they’ll be placed here along with her own ashes after she dies. And he’s not the only Ramone at Hollywood Forever. Dee Dee, another of the founding members of the band, is also in Hollywood…forever.
