The process has begun to restore the Sam the Record Man at Dundas square. Ryerson University is currently seeking a company to install it on top of one of their buildings. The sign was taken down shortly after the store closed in 2007 and since then Ryerson has deemed it a piece of city heritage and preserved it. To top it all off, the cost to install the sign will be covered entirely by the University. I personally can’t wait to see this thing lit up in Dundas Square, it’ll look great.
