Everyone has heard about how back in the day that Coca-Cola used to put cocaine in their products well some restaurants in China tried using a similar tactic.
35 restaurants across China have been shut down and are being investigated for seasoning their noodles with opium.
This isn’t the first time that its happened either. Back in 2014 a man tested positive for drugs in a routine traffic stop and suspected it might be where he had eaten since he had never done any drugs.
The cooks will sprinkle a little bit of ground up poppy powder in the food. A lot of the time it was mixed with chili oils and powders making it hard to detect.
Poppy seeds are fairly cheap, have low amounts of opiates and you can get a kilogram for around $60. At least that’s what I pay to my dealer. Your own mileage may vary.
