Here’s one new way to get closer to your favourite artist – peep their personal Instagram feed.
A new app that was just released today, called Being, allows you to essentially take on the perspective of an artist’s Instagram. You search them up, “become” them, and then you get to see their Instagram feed as they see it. Pretty cool, right?
The app’s creators see it as a way of finding curated content from people you love. You can check out the users that your favourite artist follows, and then follow those people on your own Instagram.
Let’s try it out, shall we?
Vance Joy currently has over 274,000 people who follow him on Instagram, but the man himself only follows 216. What would his Instagram feed look like?
Not too shabby. It gets more exclusive with the Foo Fighters, who have 1.3 million followers but only follow an elite group of just 34 people, mostly made up of photographers and friends (oh, and HBO).
And we’ll end off with Coldplay, who have a staggering 2.4 million followers and follow exactly TWO people – music producer Davide Rossi and a wine bar called Noble Rot.
