Steam Whistle Brewery
If you feel like going out for a drink, the Steam Whistle Brewery is the place for you. Just outside of the Air Canada Centre, the Steam Whistle Brewery offers tours of their facility while offering free samples of beer throughout the tour.
Join a Music Class
Group and individual music classes are offered throughout the city at discounted prices. Places like the Toronto Institute for the Enjoyment of Music offer classes and lessons on singing, playing the guitar, playing the violin and any other instrument you can think of. Classes start at $15.
Try Your Luck at a Board Game Café
Board game cafes are gaining popularity throughout the city. Places like Snakes & Lagers and Snakes & Lattes offer drinks, food and tons of different board games. Grab a beer or a coffee and try out a new game with a group of friends. Both places do not take reservations so make sure you get there early enough to enjoy the night.
Get Trapped in a Room With Your Friends
Room escapes are a fun activity for you and your friends to try out. The premise is that you are trapped in a room for an hour and you are given clues to try and escape. Regardless of which location you go to around the city, the cost will be about $20 per person and is lots of fun.
Take a Walk in the High Park Zoo
If you want to do something more active, take a walk in the High Park Zoo. The zoo is open year round from 7:00 AM until dusk. The zoo has bison, deer, llamas and peacocks and is a great way to spend your time on a weekend.
Check Out an Open Mic Night
You can check out some local comedy shows for free around Toronto. Spirits Bar & Grill has the longest running comedy night in Canada and Club 120 offers their Comedy Kapow on Friday nights. Comedy Bar offers cheap shows ever Saturday night.
Tour Your Own City
Haunted Walks Toronto offers ghost tours around the Distillery District for a discounted price for students and Segway Ontario offers riding tours around the city. Both are cheap options for exploring Toronto and having some fun.
Try Out Circus Lessons
The Toronto Circus School offers drop in flying trapeze classes for a great price. Classes are one or two hours long and are designed for all skill levels.
