Soon all medicinal marijuana patients across Canada will be able to grow their own weed.
A judge has struck down regulations that restricted patients from growing their own cannabis and has given the Liberal government six months to come up with new rules.
It was argued that home grow-ops pose safety problems such as fire hazards, mold and increased chances of that house being robbed.
On the other side patients that aren’t able to afford the high priced medicine will now be able to grow their own for significantly cheaper.
This doesn’t impact any other laws against marijuana so it’s still illegal unless you have a medical condition.
Even Shoppers Drug Mart is looking at getting into the medicinal marijuana game.
