Saturday, March 5th, 2016: the eve that Jamie Hyneman, Adam Savage, Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, Grant Imahara, and Jessi Combs – aka The MythBusters – hung up their lab coats and stored away their explosives.
After 248 episodes, the MythBusters have called it quits, but they did not go quietly. If you missed the finale, I won’t spoil it, but an earlier report from the network promised “an RV gets blown to kingdom come, Buster goes supersonic, Adam takes the most wild ride imaginable and then it all boils down to a Cement Truck with 5000 pounds of ANFO.”

MythBusters made science exciting for everyone – from people who actually understand science to people who slept their way through high school. Maybe you learned something from watching them! What they did for science is, in my opinion, on par with what Bill Nye has done… But they blew stuff up so they get a +1 for it.
