Conor McGregor was ‘shockingly’ beaten by Nate Diaz Saturday night ta UFC196.. I put shockingly in quotes because that’s how I’ve seen it described, I don’t know if that’s true or not. My Mixed Martial Arts knowledge I’m sorry to say is somewhat lacking..
HOWEVER, what I do know is class and humility when I see it. In the wake of his defeat Conor McGregor put on a clinic in being a man and accepting what life throws your way.. gracious in defeat doesn’t being to describe the Featherweight Champ..
Professional sports is a wasteland littered with over entitled prima donnas spouting off stupidity and excuses while pundits on a 24 cycle act as apologists for their behavior. This is a breath of fresh air. The man got knocked down and got back up with his head high, didn’t make excuses, took it on the chin and now pushes forward.
Consider me officially a Conor McGregor fan.
Oh also he almost killed Conan O’Brien last week.. If you missed that see it here
