This is wild. A study by American scientists seems to indicate that music can affect your eyesight.
Let me explain.
When you’re listening intently to music, your brain shifts resources from the region that processes sight to the one that processes audio. You know how you close your eyes when you want to concentrate on music? That’s just a physical response to something that happens in your head.
You can even try this experiment: the next time you have a conversation with one person in a quiet room, try to notice how much you see in the room around you. Next, try to hold a conversation with someone in a noisy room and try to notice how much you see around you.
You just don’t take in as much visual information in the noisy room. That’s your brain re-routing processing power to your audio centers.
