For fans of Oasis, it may seem like a dream that the Gallagher brothers would ever reunite to perform together again. And you would be right.
Noel Gallagher has said to reporters, “I could see a day where, myself, I could do shows with just Oasis songs?”, but that his brother, Liam, is still a very “angry man”. Noel said, “So he is not cool. He tends to make the easiest things really difficult.” Looks like the chance of them reuniting has gone down from 1%, in early 2016, to zero.
The relationship between the two brothers has been turbulent to say the least. The band that brought us “Champagne Supernova”, “Don’t Look Back in Anger”, and “Wonderwall”, (the song that will probably get your guitar smashed if you ever bring it out at a party) broke up officially in 2009. Now nearly 10 years removed, it seems that our grapes only get more sour…and wrinklier. With fights on and off the stage, it seems that the Gallaghers are holding out to see who buckles first.
Noel will continue to perform with his band, The High Flying Birds, who’s last album came out in 2015.
If you’re still waiting on the Oasis reunion tour, you may have better luck catching the Easter Bunny.
