How long of a trailer would be needed to show off the longest movie ever made?
Ambiancé, which is being directed by Swedish filmmaker Anders Weberg, is going for the record of longest movie ever made. The film, which will be released in 2020, will log in at 30 days of playtime. To prepare audiences for the film, Weberg released a trailer to the film that was 7 hours and 20 minutes in length. If you think that’s bad,the teaser could have been a movie in itself,as it clocked in at 72 minutes.
The film, which Weberg depicts as “space and time is intertwined into a surreal dream-like journey beyond places,” it may also break the record for most people to be sleeping through a movie.
Check out the trailer before, let me know how far you get…
When the film is complete, Weberg says that the film will be showcased around the world in an international streaming event. When the movie has finished, Weberg plans to destroy the film, which to me draws a fine line between art and punk. How else to celebrate the longest movie ever made?
