Warner Brothers has announced that the remake for Stephen King’s It, will be released on September 18th, 2017.
The original film, which starred Tim Curry as the titular character, “It”, (aka Pennywise), came out in 1990. Almost always an instigator for the fear of clowns, the movie was based off of the novel of the same name by Stephen King. It was famous for its evil clown character, Pennywise, who could shape-shift into many different people and objects, as well as control his victims to his will.
The original novel by King followed seven children known as The Losers Club who come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise. The leading theory on the reboot is that there will two films in the series: one when Pennywise first terrorizes the kids, and the second film will be when the kids come back to fight Pennywise as adults.
