Why is it when you can’t have something, you only want it more?
John Malkovich, the eccentric actor/director, has written and starred in the film 100 Years — The Movie You Will Never See. It was directed by Robert Rodriguez, and will not be released until 2115. The idea behind the film was to create visual prediction of how the world would look in 100 years. Much like 2001: A Space Odyssey, 100 Years will try to create the future, or what we think the future will hold. That means that only our descendants will be able to judge if the film lives up to the hype.

Now the film won’t be hitting theatres (or brain-implanted discs) until 2115, but Malkovich will be travelling to the Cannes Film Festival with the film this year, with the film in a specialized safe. A press release explained that the film is being “held in a special safe that will open automatically in 100 years when the timing is complete.”
There isn’t any tickets for pre-order yet, but it’s not too early to get in line, is it?
