Eagles of Death Metal and Death From Above 1979 teamed up to play an amazing show at the Hamilton Convention Centre. Both bands brought brought great energy to the stage and wow fans with their performances.
Eagles of Death Metal played first, coming on stage to the song ‘Can’t Touch This’ by MC Hammer. Throughout the show, lead singer Jesse Hughes joked that he loved being in Hamilton, calling it the ‘Hammer’. The band performed the songs ‘Wanna Be in L.A.’ and ‘I Want You So Hard (Boys Bad News)’. Throughout the show, the band brought great energy to the stage, wowing fans with their music, as well as their dance moves.
When Death From Above 1979 walked in stage, fans went crazy. The duo had a great light show going during their performance and they were high energy. Drummer Sebastien Grainger expressed throughout the show that the duo was sad to be wrapping up their tour with Eagles of Death Metal. The band performed ‘Black History Month’ and ‘Trainwreck 1979’. During ‘You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine’ the audience was chanting along, having a great time.
I hope both of these bands come back to the GTA sometime soon. If you have never seen either of them live, I would highly suggest it.
