Pizza is a pretty simple, yet delicious, food item. All you need is the right dough, fresh tomato sauce, great cheese, and the rest is up to you! Little did we know that the relationship we have with pizza runs much deeper.
A man in Salem, Oregon came to be known as a bit of a regular at his local Domino’s Pizza. So much so that, for 7 years, Kirk Alexander got a fresh pie almost everyday from that Domino’s. It kind of became the ‘Cheers of pizza’ to Kirk: everyone knew his name, and everyone noticed when he stopped ordering pizzas.
After realizing that Mr. Alexander had not ordered a pizza in over 11 days, the Domino’s Pizza staff began to worry about their most reliable customer. They knew he suffered from some other medical conditions. After being alerted by her staff, general manager Sarah Fuller “we knew instantly it wasn’t normal.”
One of the pizza delivery guys was in the area of Kirk’s house, and discovered a fully-lit home when he arrived. They immediately contacted emergency services. EMS discovered Kirk in desperate need of medical assistance, and took him to hospital, where he has recovered.
Moral of the story, pizza could save your life! Kirk Alexander was a man who loved pizza. When Kirk Alexander needed pizza most, pizza was there for him.
