It’s halfway through May, and it has already been a big music month so far.
Radiohead surprised everyone with the release of two singles last week, as well as the digital release of their latest album, A Moon Shaped Pool. It is set to be a busy year for these guys, as they are going to be extensively touring on this new album.
Always full of surprises, theatres across North America received a package from Radiohead and Paul Thomas Anderson, the director of the “Daydreaming” music video. The package contained a 35mm film roll, and a note that said, “We’ve made a film, here it is. We’d be happy if you played it!'”
Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, Magnolia) and Radiohead, it’s an ambient sounding affair, with added woozy and reversed vocals from other tracks on the album. It follows Thom Yorke as he walks through a hotel, a hospital and a convenience store, among other things.
