If you haven’t heard of Philadelphia punks, Sheer Mag, yet, its for good reason: they don’t have a publicist, they don’t do major interviews, and they don’t even have any social media accounts. Talk about DIY.
Despite all of this, Sheer Mag have become the talk of the alternative scene with their latest EP, III. Based simply on the power of their blend of ’70s hard rock and garage punk, they’ve grown big enough to book spots at the likes of Coachella and Primavera Sound. On Thursday, May 26th, the band made their national TV-debut, on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Check out their performance of “Nobody’s Baby”, with the powerful/guttural performance from lead singer, Tina Halladay.
In a world where social media is king, Sheer Mag has proven that all you need is a great sound. With not even a full length album to their name yet, expect big things from these Philly-natives.
