Pride Month celebrations and Rib fest are just a few things to do this week of June 27th – July 3
One of the foremost glass artist today Dale Chihuly brings his work to the ROM for its new exhibit running to the end of the year. Exploring light, colour and form these glorious masterpieces are a sight to behold.
This indie theatre festival kicks on the 29th and expect to see all sorts of performances from theatre, buskers, dance and site specifics events up until closing night on the 10th of July. One hundred percent of all tickets sales goes back into supporting performance art companies.
Back at Centennial Park for its 17th straight year this bbq bonanza is one people wait all year for. Live music, a midway, and of course miles of dripping, gooey ribs and chicken. All funds from the Ribfest are donated back into the community and charitable organizations. The festival goes from June 30-July 3rd.
If piles of meat are not your thing head out to Stouffville, Ontario June 30th-July 3 for their annual strawberry festival. Music, dance, bbq’s and of course a strawberry pancake breakfast are a perfect way to spend a long weekend.
Every year Canada’s oldest thoroughbred race gets bigger and better. This year with headline acts like Hedley, The Strumbellas and Matthew Good crowd get to enjoy an exciting and important race and party like a rock star afterwards. Race happens on July 3.
