After Dave Grohl broke his leg last summer on tour, he needed to figure out something quick if he wanted to continue touring. Thus, the throne was born…
It served Dave Grohl well, and he was able to keep on rocking through most of his European and North American tour. Once he was better, the throne had nowhere to go.
That was until Axl Rose, of Guns ‘N’ Roses broke his foot during the first show of their reunion tour. Rose recruited the use of Grohl’s throne to continue playing. Most of it was during his stint as lead singer of AC/DC, but now Axl is back to his former self.
However, according to a new interview with Dale “Opie” Skjerset, the band’s tour manager, it wasn’t returned all in one piece.
“We gave the chair back, yes, they got the chair back,” Skjerset said. “In parts, but they got it.”
Does this mean that Axl broke another piece of rock history? C’mon Opie, you can’t leave a cliffhanger like that!
Let’s hope they packed the instruction manual and all of the Alan keys…
