H2O! H2O! H2O! H2O! H2O!
A familiar chant you may be hearing through the crowds of WayHome this weekend as fans are reminded by their ever grateful bands to stay hydrated. Record heat wave temperatures have #wayhomies sweating from parts of their bodies they didn’t know existed and while there are many libations to keep the merry mood at it’s highest, smart festival goers know the importance of hydrating.
Water is of course the number 1 choice of parched patrons and with multiple water stations around the event grounds there is no reason to not have a bottle or two available when the sun is at it’s soul burning hottest.
Cool treats are always popular and there are many great locations to find the one for you. Be nostaglic and grab a rocket popsicle and drip red, white and blue.
Create your own ice cream sandwich concoction over at Bake Three Fifty Food Truck.
Or get a refreshing fruit beverage in frozen form over at Chill Pops. Mojito, Pineapple, and pink lemonade will quench a few thrists.
If you are looking for a drink and a full body cool down then head over to Vitamin Water where you can get a human car wash and free sample.
Drink too much last night? Hungover, need caffeine but not the tongue burning temperature? Cold Station Coffee will set you straight. (just remember coffee is not in theory the best hydrator but I can feel your hangover pain).
Smoothe Operator has to be the best name for a food truck that specializes in smoothies and cool drinks. Try their watermelon spritzer for a non-sweet, refreshing beverage.
And of course you can’t go wrong with freshly squeezed lemonade. It’s tart, sweet and super cold on this uber hot weekend. There are several locations around the park so thrist quenching is never far away.
In all seriousness folks, sunstroke bites. Stay hydrated.
