Prophets of Rage are the new LA musical-supergroup, comprised of members of Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hill, and Public Enemy. The group took to the Jimmy Kimmel stage to rock out to their classic 1992-hit, “Killing in the Name Of”. The group took a few liberties in the lyrics, and called out Congress on more than one occasion.
Tom Morello wants to make America rage again, and there’s only one song you can play when you really want to rage the Morello-way…
The group, that formed earlier this year, are comprised of Tom Morello, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford of Rage Against the Machine; Chuck D of Public Enemy and DJ Lord and B-Real of Cypress Hill. They released an eponymous first single track earlier this month, which they also performed on Kimmel, and put together a series of events around Cleveland during the Republican National Convention.
They are on tour this summer, with a stop in Toronto, to help spread their message of rage again. Check out the full tour details on their website.
