The best thing about being a kid on weekend mornings? All of the great Saturday morning cartoons! And with retro cartoons making a comeback on Netflix and TV-networks bringing them back, we can relive all of the classic cartoons.
Next week marks 25 years since the debut of the Nickelodeon classic, Ren & Stimpy, and it would be a disservice to the both of them if we didn’t honor them in the most random fashion. Two Minor League baseball teams taken up the task to put the characters on their backs, literally.
The Brooklyn Cyclones (a New York Mets affiliate) and the Vermont Lake Monsters (an Oakland A’s affiliate) will represent Stimpy and Ren, respectively, when they duke it out at Brooklyn’s MCU Park next Wednesday, August 10th. If that’s not enough to satisfy nostalgic baseball fans, the game’s attendees will also receive complimentary Ren & Stimpy bobbleheads.
