The Tragically Hip, arguably the biggest homegrown-Canadian talent to ever hit the airwaves, will be playing the last show, of their last tour, tonight, at the K-Rock Centre in Kingston.
They have been on-tour across Canada over the past month, on the Man Machine Poem Tour, and after a 3-concert stop in Toronto, they have made their way back to where it all began. The band had their humble beginning in the small town of Kingston, Ontario, 32 years ago. Now known as the home of Queen’s University, the town is also the birthplace of Canada’s band.
They will be playing their last show ever tonight, and if you didn’t get tickets, you will still be able to check out a live broadcast of the event on CBC, with the concert starting at 8:30 pm EST sharp! Make sure you have your eyes on a TV tonight, or you will miss out on the equivalent of the Super Bowl in Canada. (CBC has said that they will not be rebroadcasting the event!)
If you don’t have a TV, or a place to watch it with all of your Hip friends, there are plenty of places across Toronto broadcasting the event as well.
