The boys from Kings of Leon have been busy the past few months.
After heading back to L.A. to record the new album, the same place where they recorded the first two albums, the band was seeking some inspiration.
Lead singer, Caleb Followill, said earlier in the year that, “We might just try to get a little change of scenery. Our first two albums we recorded in L.A., so we’re going to try to go back and see if it inspires us,” he said. “If it doesn’t, we always have a studio at home, so we can always come back.”
Looks like something clicked.
Walls is the first record from Kings of Leon since 2013’s Mechanical Bull. The upcoming album includes 10 new tunes from the Followill boys. The producer, Markus Dravs, has worked with the likes of Arcade Fire and Florence and the Machine, which will help to take the band in a new direction for their seventh LP. While few details have been revealed behind the subject matter, it’s confirmed that the record will address “band members’ personal stories.”
