While The Tragically Hip just wrapped up their Man Machine Poem Tour in August, it seems that Gord Downie is not ready to rest just yet.
Earlier this month, Downie revealed plans for a new solo album called Secret Path, which features songs inspired by the story of a 12-year-old Ojibway boy, who died while trying to escape a residential school 50 years ago. Those songs are now set to come to life on stage for two special performances.
And good news, Toronto fans, because Downie is set to play the Roy Thomson Hall on October 21st, and in Ottawa on October 18th. Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 23rd.
Secret Path will be released on October 18th, and all of the proceeds will go to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
For true Downie fans, this is something you will not want to miss on!
