Green Day changed the lyrics to their American Idiot song “Holiday” to bash Donald Trump during their Wednesday night show in Sayreville, New Jersey.
During the bridge of the song, Billie Joe Armstrong spoke to the crowd.
“Have you been watching the news lately? What do you think of our candidates for the presidency of the United States Of America? What do you think of New York’s finest, Donald Trump?”
“No racism in this f*cking room,” he continued. “There is no white supremacy in this f*cking room right now. We are coming together tonight in New Jersey to call bullsh*t on all the f*cking politicians!”
As they went through the rest of the song, Armstrong replaced the lyrics “pulverize the Eiffel Towers” with “pulverize the Don Trump Towers.”
Billboard is also reporting that he also blasted New Jersey Governor Chris Christie by referring to him as the “enemy” during “Know Your Enemy” from 21st Century Breakdown.
It wouldn’t be a punk show without bashing a couple politicians, amirite?
Their new album Revolution Radio arrives on Oct. 7th.
