Time travelers definitely traveled back in time to warn us about the Trump presidency. We had one chance people, but we missed the signs and failed to prevent the man that has about as much political direction as his hair from rising to power.
Does anyone remember a show called Trackdown? You probably wouldn’t, considering it aired in the late-50’s. Now I’m not telling you to go find and watch the whole series, but there is one episode that’s definitely worth your while.
The episode is called “End of the World” and it features a villain named Walter Trump. Now I don’t know if you caught that there, but the villain’s name is TRUMP.
Walter Trump is an extravagant con-man who spreads paranoia about the end of the world. He sends the message that if you want to live to see tomorrow, you have to follow his lead.
Everyone seems to believe him, all except for Hoby Gilman, the town’s ranger. Can you guess what Trump does when Gilman challenges him?
…That’s right, he threatens to sue him.
When the ranger attempts to get help from the town, he speaks to a judge who tells him that there’s just not enough evidence to arrest Trump. He actually says and I cannot think of a better way to word it, “It’s funny how a big lie can make us all kids again.”
So when Trump beckoned, the townspeople came ready to hear his solution for the so-called end of the world. I bet you already know what it was.
TO BUILD A WALL.
Don’t take my word for it though. Watch for yourself and see how if we’d only paid closer attention, we could have prevented the man with hair eerily similar to the last slice of bread at the end of the loaf.
There is some hope for us though, because at the end of the episode, Trump is arrested before he can run away from the huge mess he made.
Yes, yes they did.
